  • The video details the Daniels Scholarship Program, with emphasis on the application process. Among the areas covered are eligibility requirements, program benefits, requirements and expectations, selection timeline, and general information on the Daniels Scholarship Program and Bill Daniels.
The Daniels Scholarship Program is a four year annually renewable college scholarship to any two or four year accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States for high school seniors who demonstrate character, leadership, and service. It is not an academic merit scholarship. Daniels Scholars must intend to complete a Bachelor's Degree.
Important information about this year's process:
  1. The first step of completing the Eligibility Questionnaire, which determines a student's financial and general eligibility to apply for the Daniels Scholarship, is to complete the 2017/2018 FAFSAat https://fafsa.ed.gov (available starting October 1, 2016) to determine their Expected Family Contribution or EFC. Students will use 2015 tax information to complete the 2017/2018 FAFSA.

Students should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1, to have sufficient time to complete our application. If a student submits the FAFSA online and provides a valid email address, FAFSA commits to providing their Student Aid Report (SAR) within 3-5 days. If a student sends the FAFSA by U.S. Mail or requests a paper copy, it can take 7-10 days to receive the SAR once their FAFSA is received and processed.

  2. Students do not have to meet Pell eligibility requirements to qualify for the Daniels Scholarship Program. We encourage interested students to register on our site and complete our Eligibility Questionnaire to determine if they are eligible to complete an application. Click here and see the Eligibility section of our website for a full list of eligibility requirements.
