Mountain View Electric Association, Inc. (MVEA) awards fourteen $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Thirteen scholarships will be given to students planning to attend accredited colleges, universities, and junior colleges or community colleges in the fall. The recipients will be chosen through a computerized, random selection procedure. MVEA will award one Vocational/Technical Scholarship to a student entering an occupational training program of two years or less at an accredited vocational/technical school, community college or junior college.
The application period ends January 17, 2017.
MVEA SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
· Applicant’s parents or legal guardians must be currently receiving electric service from MVEA.
· Applicant must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0.
· The applicant must have achieved an ACT Score of at least 22 or a combined SAT Score of at least 1,000. A copy of ACT and/or SAT scores must be included with transcript and application.
· The applicant must use the MVEA scholarship form.
· A high school transcript must accompany the application.
· The scholarship application must be received by MVEA no later than January 17.
MVEA VOTECH ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
· Applicant’s parents or legal guardians must be currently receiving electric service from MVEA.
· Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or have a GED Certificate.
· High school graduates must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0.
· The applicant must use the MVEA scholarship application.
· A high school transcript or official GED test scores must accompany the application.
