Concurrent and Distance Learning Programs
These programs are available to all high school grades, upon approval and acceptance into the programs. DL courses refer to High school course work. Concurrent Enrollment applies to ACC and Pickens programs for College credit or vocational training.
All students must complete the Basic paperwork listed in resources.
Concurrent programs cover programs for high school credit, college credit, and vocational programs. Please see the course guide for more information as well as using the links below.
High School Coursework- (typically supplemental courses to help students with electives in academic areas)
- High school elective courses are offered via a computer and are subject to administrative approval.
- Courses are ordered on a semester basis.
- Because of COVID-19, CDLS is at capacity, and space is limited for courses.
Educere Courses
- Spanish I and II are taught from this platform. World language classes do not require the basic paperwork as this is part of students graduation requirements.
- There are some other elective options, meet with Mrs. Morrone for more details.
- Courses are typically ordered on a year basis.
Surrounding Schools
- Courses not offered at Kiowa but available in surrounding schools can be considered for participation.
- Ag Classes in Elbert are an example.
College Coursework-
- College courses are currently via an online program and may include other options in the future.
- Students must complete an application to the college and have required scores.
Our Area provider is Arapahoe Community College or ACC.

ERW (English) - 470
Math - 590
Recommended Scores for the Accuplacer *scores can vary but in general, this is what is recommended.

Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics -240
Area Vocational Programs
Area Vocational programs are available through Pickens Tech - See Mrs. Morrone with questions.
Student Fees are around $500 per semester -This is family expense.
Other Notes:
Students are responsible for their transportation to and from the programs located off campus.
Any of these options must be listed on your current four-year plan and turned in at least 60 days prior to the end of the school year.
