Special thanks and kudos to Katee Kolm, Ellen Lancaster, and Beverly Durant. Together these ladies completed the KMS sports banners to congratulate our great Middle school athletes and all the wonderful success they have had in the past few years. Look for all of these banners in the Middle School gym. These ladies also are in the process of completing two High School Baseball banners to display in our High School gym to celebrate the great success of our baseball team. By doing these banners in their spare time, they have saved the school a huge amount of money. Be sure to thank them for their hard work.

ADDITIONS AND CHANGES TO THE SCHEDULE:

Extra 2007-2008 Yearbooks are available! If you missed getting your copy last spring, there are a limited number of yearbooks available for $25.00 each. First come, first serve – see Mrs. Stornello in HS Room 107 or any Yearbook Staff member.

School Pictures will be taken on Wednesday, August 27th on the stage in the MS Gym. They will start at 7:30 a.m. with walk-ins. The Yearbook Class has given teachers a schedule for the remainder of the day. All students will be photographed for the yearbook and student ID cards. Picture packages will be ordered for those students returning the order envelope with payment. Order envelopes will be sent home with students today.

SAFEWAY CARDS Kiowa Education Foundation is selling Safeway cards to help upgrade our athletic facilities. Some of the money will go into our track fund and some will go into obtaining a grant for a new outside bathroom/concession building and new bleachers. The Foundation will also use this money to support the school in other education endeavors our school budget cannot do. The cards come in $20 denominations and can be used for groceries, prescriptions, or gasoline. What an easy way to help your school!!! Please see Pattie in the high school office or Cindy in the elementary office or obtain the gift cards at any volleyball or basketball game at the concession stand. Thanks for supporting your school!

KPTCC desperately needs your help!!!! KPTCC supports a multitude of programs in each of our schools. The only fundraiser this group conducts is the concessions at volleyball and basketball games. We need volunteers to help us run the concessions stand and bring desserts. We also are still looking for a concessions manager. This paid position runs the concession stand for KPTCC. This is a great way to earn some extra money and have fun doing it! If you are interested, please call Betty Hood 303-621-2205 or Beverly Durant 303-621-9214. Also if you can help in the concessions stand, we have volleyball games on Thursday, August 28th at 4:30 and Friday, August, 29th at 4:00. Please call Betty or Beverly if you can work in the stand or will bring us desserts. Do not let the concession stand close down! If no one will help us, we will be forced to close concessions. This will affect all of the programs we assist at the school. Please consider helping us and in the end you will be keeping Kiowa schools great! There is a sign-up sheet in the HS office – please stop by or call for a date that you would be willing to work or bring a dessert.
